3. Handmade and Upcycled Products

Spirit Scents creates candles and other goods made from recycled and upcycled materials. Due to the nature of handmade craftsmanship and reclaimed glass, slight variations in color, size and appearance may occur. These variations are expected and part of the unique character of each piece.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in USD and may change without notice.
We accept major credit cards and other payment methods offered at checkout.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order if fraud, incorrect information or payment issues are suspected.

5. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping rates and delivery times vary based on location and carrier availability.
Once your order leaves our studio, delivery timing is the responsibility of the shipping provider.
Spirit Scents is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, incorrect addresses or weather related issues.

6. Returns, Exchanges and Refunds

Because our products are handmade and crafted in small batches, all sales are considered final unless an item arrives damaged or defective.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your product arrives damaged, please contact us within 5 days of delivery with photos of the item and packaging. We will gladly work with you to replace the item or provide store credit.

7. Candle and Product Safety

By purchasing our products, you agree to follow all safety instructions provided on the label or packaging.
Spirit Scents is not responsible for damages caused by misuse, neglect or failure to follow proper candle care guidelines.

What is your return policy?

At Spirit Scents Candle Company, our goal is to ensure our customers are completely satisfied and happy with the custom candles they received. Please be sure to contact us within 7 days of receiving your order.

How do I return an item?

If your item arrives damaged our unusable or If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, please email us at orders@spirit-scents.com. We want to be your favorite candle store.

How long does it take to make my custom candle?

Please allow for 5-7 business days for your candle to be made. You can email us at anytime to receive an update on your order. Custom scents or large orders may take longer to make. Once your candle is poured and packaged you will receive a shipping notification. Allow 2-3 day for delivery. We ship UPS.

What are your delivery options?

Local delivery (Jefferson County, KY) is always FREE. We ship our candles within the continental United States.

Can I provide my own bottles to have them made into candles?

Absolutely. Your memories are important to us. You can drop them off or ship them to us and we will work our magic.

Can you ship me some free samples?

Unfortunately, we don’t ship out samples unless you’re interested in a wholesale order (minimum 25 candles). All of our scents are premium, and quality tested by thousands of candlemakers.

How do I take care of my custom candle?

1. Trim the wick. Every. Single. Time.

2. Let the wax melt all the way across. Once your candle's lit, DON'T blow it out until the top layer of wax has melted all the way across.

3. Keep the flame away from moving air.

4. Dip your wicks to extinguish the flame.

5. Reuse your vessels! You can send them back to us for a discounted refill or upcycle it into something great – a glass, candy jar, pencil holder…
